MM-VLBI Data Processing Workshop

General information

Dates: 8-11 June 2015
Location: Snellius building, Lorentz Center, Leiden (NL)
Website: http://www.jive.nl/mm-vlbi2015

This workshop brings together a selection of the world’s leading experts on data processing for millimeter-VLBI observations, such as data obtained with EHT or GMVA. The purpose is to formulate our current understanding of the data processing from the correlator to the final science product. The focus will be on imaging and polarisation studies. A significant part of the workshop is dedicated to simulations of mm-VLBI data, which can be used to interpret observations, but also to verify the data processing results.

The workshop aims to be the first of a series which is dedicated to better understand and broaden our knowledge of mm-VLBI data processing, as well as build a larger community of experts.

Please note that this first workshop is by invitation only. Contact the SOC/LOC for additional participants.

This workshop is made possible thanks to funding from RadioNet3. Thanks to their support we can offer limited compensation of travel expenses for people traveling intercontinentally to attend this meeting. If you require financial support, you can contact the SOC/LOC, providing a budget and short motivation for your request. RadioNet3 has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement no 283393.
